The Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators is pleased to announce the addition of three awards that will be given out each year at Med Ed Day. The goal for establishing these awards is to provide recognition to outstanding ADME members for their educational work. Award names and descriptions were chosen to honor these three people who dedicated a significant amount of time and energy into making ADME what it is today.

- Ann Thompson Award for Lifetime Achievement

Dr. Thompson, Vice Dean of the Medical School, has sponsored the Academy for more than a decade, and has facilitated its exponential growth
2023 - Thomas Painter, MD
- Jamie Johnston Award for Service to ADME

Dr. Johnston was the longest-running Chair of the Academy until his retirement in 2017
